Bates Wilder is a veteran instructor at CP casting, a private coach, and a part time instructor of acting at Emerson College. Bates has been a professional Actor for 20 plus years now. He's worked in hundreds of commercials both regional and national. He's also appeared in many television programs as well as minor roles in a handful of films. Currently Bates can be seen on Showtimes' "Brotherhood" as Jimmy Martinson, the ne'er-do-well brother-in-law with a good heart but not a lot of common sense. Bates has received rave reviews all across New England for his acting work and most recently received the Independent Reviewers of New England (I.R.N.E) award for "Best Actor in a Drama" 2007 for his role in the New Reperatory theatres' production of "Frozen".

Here's what a former student had to say about Bates:

-----

Bates - it's only when cared for that a flower flourishes...or some such crunchy saying....anyway, speaking of crunchy, I found you to be the first granola-free, down to earth, straight from the hip acting instructor I've ever had the pleasure of learning from (ACTUALLY learning - right out of the gate, instead of spending time interpreting, scratching my poor, tired, bleached-out head) ...you speak the same language as (most of) the class, your lessons peppered with halarity, honesty, real industry experience, and patience only a father of four could hold, made the whole experience so gratifying, that i'm retaking scene study next session...
