Learn the quickest, smartest, most cost effective way to get started in New York City in both the theatre AND film world. Get in front of the casting directors, legit agents, commercial agents, and managers that YOU want to work with. Learn who to study with and WHERE to put your money. Where to live, work, hang out, and network. Anastasia will teach a step-by step method to use for breaking into the job market in NYC.

Learn which agencies are considered "top notch" and the ones that "aren't so hot"...should you sign or freelance? Find out what you should/should NOT have on your resume. Get the top 10 best photographers to go to in New York City and the reproduction houses to use.

An up-to-date list of NYC casting directors, agencies, and managers to send H/R and reels to is provided at the seminar.

Anastasia Barnes is a native of the Boston area. After graduating from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1996 with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Theatre Performance, Anastasia moved to Boston. After a two year hiatus, Anastasia became in involved in the Boston theatre scene, performing at various venues such as Boston Center for the Arts and Theatre CoOperative. She began studying acting for film at CP Casting under the guidance of Peter Kelley. After landing starring roles in both film and theatre in Boston, Anastasia relocated to New York in the fall of 2002. There she continued her studies with some of New York's finest teachers: Wynn Handman, June Stein, Joanna Merlin. Anastasia was also blessed to study with one of the most sought after Acting coaches in the industry, Bob Krakower. She studied at Upright Citizens Brigade and The Actors Center. She landed roles in national commercials, feature films, and Off-Broadway productions. In October of 2005, Anastasia graduated from the New Filmmakers Program from the International Rockport Film Workshops in Maine. One month later she left for Argentina for four weeks, where she coproduced, cowrote and starred in a short film and co-produced a short documentary. Both films are in the editing phase.
