Can you recommend a headshot photographer?
No, but I can give you some names a numbers ----
it's up to YOU to decide if their particular style and price range suit your needs!
They are basically in order according to how well I know them and how long they've been around, etc...

Do you cast for voice-overs?
Sometimes, it's good if we have your v/o demo tape on file just in case. In addition, Soundtrack Recording Studios (162 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA 02116 - Attn: Ronda Berkman, Casting Director) keeps their own tape library - and they record a lot of voice-over work in town.
Do you work with children? If so what types of projects do you cast?
We work actors of all ages.
Anyone of any age is welcome to send a picture and resume to us to have on file. A lot of projects we're hired to cast kids for usually come up on short notice, so we call local modeling agencies and have them send kids - A list of agencies is below, but they usually want you to pay for pictures, classes, etc. so find out all that before you sign up or meet with them in person...

How can I get called in for auditions?
Click here for info. on how to get listed with C.P. Casting.
Can you tell me what you're auditioning for right now?
Not really, that information is generally not released to the public. If it is, it will be on our What's New page and usually sent out on our email list. The links at the top of this page also usually lead you to various other audition postings!
When do I register for classes?
You can register anytime a schedule is available -- by mail (if there's time!), or in person by appointment, or at our Open House. I try and keep our What's New page updated on the current status of all classes, and check out the registration form to see what's still available...
You give a discounted price for StageSource Members? What's that?
StageSource is an organization that actors join. They are primarily geared towards uniting actors and theatre organizations and helping Boston's theatre community grow and prosper. They publish a book called The Source that ever actor should own a copy of, and they keep a file of headshots for theatre directors, and other producer members to look at when they need help casting a particular project. - They also have a website -- check it out!

Did you know that dozens of films are made every semester at Boston University?
Some are very short; others are elaborate productions that approach the complexity of feature films. If you're interested in working on some of these projects, you should submit your headshot and resume for inclusion in the Dept. of Film and Television's Casting Source books. Graduate and Undergraduate filmmakers peruse these books to set up auditions for their productions.
