For Producers
The casting professionals at C. P. Casting have been matching New England talent to jobs from around the country for over twenty years now. We are well equipped to scout talent, pre-screen actors, and schedule and run audition sessions. Our casting studios are set up to tape on MiniDV, DVD or 1/2" videotape, or on audio CD or audio cassette for voice-over only casting. We have comprehensive files of union and non-union talent from throughout all of New England.

We are particularly experienced with young actors, and have participated in several national searches, held many Open Casting Calls, and have experience with "Real People Casting" as well. Principals or extras, professionals or amateurs, C.P. Casting can set up your audition session, at your offices or ours and find the best actor for your project.

For Actors
C.P. Casting is a Casting Company, and any actors who wish to be considered for any projects we are currently casting are encouraged to send us a picture (or two) with a resume on the back (securely attached!) We are not a talent agent or a modeling agency, we don't charge actors any fees, because
we don't represent actors or seek out work for them. We are hired and paid by production companies, studios, advertising agencies, etc. to set up audition sessions. Please do not send large files via email to us! The best way to send pictures to us is via regular U.S. Mail, and to be sure that your resume is attached to the back at ALL 4 corners.

Most of the time we set up auditions here at our offices in Boston, and videotape actors reading script, with or without the producers, directors, etc. present at the session. In some cases we are hired to pull pictures, or simply book actors directly (i.e. for background extra work) in commercials, movies, and corporate videos. We then look through our files for the appropriate actors to fit their needs. If you send in a picture and don't hear from us for a few months, then send another one! We don't do interviews, we meet actors when auditions come up, so be sure that your resume and headshot are complete and accurate and keep in touch through the mail. (i.e. any projects you are currently working on or have just completed, shows you're in, etc.)

There are lots and lots of actors in Boston, and we get a dozen or so pictures each day, so you need to be patient. We will, of course, call in more experienced actors first for some projects, but some projects are union (SAG or AFTRA) and some are non-union, and some require special talents or a certain look, so the more you tell about yourself on your resume, and the more your picture looks like you really look, the better chance you have of being called in for something!
